The Brazilian government foresees an upswing in commerce between the nations in the upcoming years, facilitated by the opening of the Egyptian market to various Brazilian products in 2023. These include fish and derivatives, poultry, cotton, bananas, gelatin, and collagen.
In the imminent future, it is anticipated that the African nation will grant approval for new Brazilian slaughterhouses and refrigeration facilities, facilitating the export of beef. Deliberations will also encompass the establishment of an air route connecting São Paulo to Cairo.
Noteworthy in 2024, Egypt acceded to the BRICS group, comprising emerging economies such as Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Additionally, the African nation will partake in the G20, having received an invitation from the Brazilian government, the current presiding authority over the bloc of the world’s 20 largest economies until December.
