Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Egyptians and Brazilians, as well as persons from other nationalities, interested in trade and economic relations between Egypt and Brazil, and between Egypt and Latin American countries,

I am pleased to welcome you to the webpage of the Commercial Office of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Brazil and Latin America, which I hope will serve as an effective link between you and the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Brasilia and the Commercial Office in São Paulo, to facilitate the development of economic and trade relations between Egypt and Brazil and with all Latin American countries.

This webpage will publish news related to the Embassy and Commercial Office economic activities, and latest developments on trade and economic relations between Egypt and Brazil as well as with Latin American countries. In addition, it shall provide information on economic development in Egypt, available investment and trade opportunities, economic conferences held in Egypt, as well as Egyptian participation in economic conferences held in Brazil and countries of Latin America.

There were significant developments in trade relations between Egypt and the Latin American region in the last few years, notably the signing in 2010 of a Free Trade Agreement between Egypt and MERCOSUR, which include Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, an agreement that allows for customs exemption or reductions. The agreement has already entered into force in 2017, which gives impetus to economic relations between Egypt and MERCUSOR countries. Furthermore, the Embassy and the Commercial Office also promote the growth and development of mutual investments.
